Dr. Ángelika Estefanía Batres Navarro is a dentist from Honduras whose passion for dentistry began at the age of eleven, inspired by the life-changing impact a smile makeover had on her mother. From a young age, she volunteered in programs such as Operation Smile, helping underserved communities in her country.
After relocating to Miami, FL, she graduated with honors and continued her training through a research fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania (UPENN), where she studied the impact of FOXO1 on diabetes and wound healing. Her work contributed to prominent publications, including a recognized article in the journal Diabetes.
She completed her dental education at New York University, refining her clinical skills under the mentorship of leading dental professionals. Most recently, Dr. Batres earned a Master’s Degree in Implantology and General Surgery in Barcelona, Spain, which included an intensive surgical week in São Paulo, Brazil, where she gained hands-on experience with advanced procedures.
Motivated by the lack of direct solutions for preventing cavities and gingivitis she observed in her own patients, Dr. Batres developed Think Tooth a line of chewable tablets made with natural ingredients. Think Tooth is safe for the entire family, including children as young as three, and is recommended by pediatricians. These tablets help combat bad breath, prevent cavities and plaque, and support digestion. The formula includes natural ingredients such as probiotics, hydroxyapatite (the same material found in teeth and bones), and xylitol, a tree-derived compound that helps prevent tooth decay.
Today, Dr. Batres practices in Miami, FL, and remains dedicated to innovation and patient well-being, offering high-quality care and remaining accessible for emergencies and consultations.
